Rotate Individual Pages in a PDF
Scanned documents often have a mix of orientations: a sideways contract page, an upside-down receipt, or a landscape chart inside a portrait report. You don’t need to rotate the whole file to fix them. Select only the pages that are wrong, apply the rotation, and leave every other page as it is.
You can:
- Rotate a single page without touching the rest
- Rotate several pages at once by selecting them together
- Rotate the entire document by selecting all pages
Rotate a PDF by Degrees: 90°, 180° or 270°
PDF pages can only be rotated in 90° steps, so these are the options you need:
| If your page looks like this | Use this rotation |
|---|---|
| Sideways, top of the page on the left | 90° clockwise |
| Sideways, top of the page on the right | 90° counter-clockwise (same as 270° clockwise) |
| Upside down | 180° |
Need a custom angle like 5° or 15°? A slightly crooked scan isn’t a rotation problem. It needs a “deskew” or “straighten” tool, which is a different feature. For pages that are sideways or upside down, the three options above cover every case.
Can I Rotate a PDF Without Adobe Pro?
Yes. Adobe Acrobat Pro is a paid product, but you don’t need it to rotate pages. Our tool works in any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS, with no subscription and no software to install.
Is It Safe to Use a Free PDF Rotator?
Safety depends on how a tool handles your files. When choosing any online PDF tool, check that it:
- Uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection
- Explains how long files are stored, or deletes them automatically
- Doesn’t require an account for a simple task
